5.4.LO4-How I think I am doing in Artefact.

I think i'm doing well in artefact mostly because I love art, and at the moment we are designing shoes and will be making them which i'm really looking forward too. I am really enjoying this topic and can't wait until we acctually start making the shoes:) what didn't go to well was having to print things off, because I can't at home and I don't go to Wymondham High so I can't drop it off to anybody during the week. But I am looking to buying a memory stick, so this problem shouldn't carry on.

5.4 LO4-How I think I am doing in campaign.

I think I am doing quite well in the topic campaign, I am most certainly trying to do well. I'm really enjoying being able to see what its like sorting things like interviews and dates to meet people out myself, it has also made me allot more confident on the phone.

Show Making.

One of our projects is to make a shoe out of the materials given from whatever charity we chose. We started off making a small paper shoe that we coloured and designed ourselves, I decorated mine with flowers and used oil pastils to colour it in because they are big bold colours.

My Phone Call To The Charity Shop.

Today me and my group had to make a phone call to a local charity shop in Wymondham to ask whether going in and seeing them next week would be okay. The phone call sounded a bit like this..
My group-Hello this is Vickey, Nina and Kaidee, We are calling from Wymondham High and are currently studying creative and media. Can we speak to the manager please?
Manager-Hello, yes thats me.
My group- Oh right, we believe our teacher came and saw you before the summer holidays to ask if we could come in and see you some time this week?
Manager-Hey, yeah I remember that.
My group-So we were ringing to check if its still okay if we come in and help raise awareness of your charity shop by creating posters, assembly's, leaflets and show's this tuesday?
Manager-Thats fine, it sounds great.
My group-So what time would be okay for you, we would rather do between 9-11?
Manager-Anytime will be fine.
My group-Okay, thank you, we will be looking forward to seeing you soon, goodbye.

In the phone call we had to make sure we introduced ourselves, where we were calling from and why, incase they thought it was a prank call. We also had to include what we would be doing so they knew roughly why we were coming into help them.

Learning Objective 4

Throughout the process of planning and conducting my campaign I must regularly monitor my progress and examine your achievements and aims.
I must constantly ask yourself if I amachieving what I set out to achieve and if not, why not-and then I should ask what I need to do to get nearer achieving my intentions.
I must actively use my reflections to inform, shape or modify my work as I think appropriate.
When the campaign is over I should also include an investigation into the effectiveness of my campaign. This could be carried out by gathering feedback from your target audience using methods such as questionaires or focus groups.
I will need to:
-Examine where I succeed and where I do not succeed.
-Consider areas for impovement.
-Alter intentions or plans where necessary in order to achieve my aims.
At the end of the progress I should think about what I have learnt, and how I can put this learning into good use in my next project.

Red Or Dead

Red or Dead was started by Wayne Andrew Hemingway Esq. and his wife, Geraldine Hemingway in 1982. They had no money, so they emptied their wardrobes and sold them on Camden market one Saturday and before they knew it they had 16 stalls. Before long they had a decent sized company and came across Dr Marten; who changed them from being a work-wear item to something fashionable all around the world.

letter to wymondham and attleborough mercury

Dear the Wymondham and Attleborough Mercury,
We are writing to ask you if we can put an advertisement in your newspaper. We are studying creative and media at school and one of our tasks is to help a local charity shop by creating posters, leaflets and adverts and we’d be very greatfull if you’d consider putting the enclosed advert into your newspaper. This would be helping the local charity, Quidenham Children’s Hospice, to raise donations and gain income.
